Chloeta is recruiting to fill five (5) to seven (7) positions as decontamination crewmembers providing asbestos abatement services to wildland firefighters on the Kootenai National Forest.
Duty Station:
Libby, MT
Desired Attributes
  • Recruits must be able to successfully serve as crewmember on an asbestos abatement crew
  • Clean driving record for the past three (3) years
  • US Citizen
  • Recruits should expect to occasionally work long hours, up to 14 to 16 hours per day when wildfires are occuring
  • All necessary training will be provided (40-hr HAZWOPER and Asbestos Awareness)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical screening, including lung sphygmometer test
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test
  • Represent Chloeta professionally at times
  • Operate effectively in team settings in utilizing power washers and other devices to decontaminate wildland fire trucks and equipment from possible asbestos contamination
  • Maintain a constant of readiness for response
  • When called into duty, arrive within two (2) hours at the assigned Duty Station (Libby, Montana)
Physical Demands
  • May occasionally work up to sixteen (16) hours per day
  • May work up to seven (7) days per week, for fourteen (14) to twenty-21 (21) days straight
Compensation and Work Schedule
  • Housing while working at the home duty station is NOT provided
  • All travel expenses, including meals and lodging, are provided by the company if the employee participates in official travel

  • These are Call When Needed (CWN) positions in support of the wildland fire suppression program for the USDA Forest Service

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
